Tattoo Design

For this piece, I wanted to showcase a tattoo design. The design is a representation of my personal background and my love for my family. My family is Mexican on both my mom and dad's side. To represent both sides, I used symbols of the states in Mexico that my parents were born in. The scorpion for Durango is where I'm from on my mother’s side and the monarch butterfly for Michoacán where I'm from on my father’s side.
